If you suspect that the access number isn't working, do the following: Dial the access number using your telephone so that you can personally hear what happens. Dial all possible combinations (with the area code, without the area code, etc.), including any extra numbers that are needed to get an outside line.
If you hear the modem (sounds like a fax machine) using one of the combinations above, the access number is operational and available for use. If you are unable to connect, check how you have entered the access number to make sure the computer is dialing it properly.
If you do not hear the modem using any of the combinations that means there is a network problem. Please contact Customer Support immediately so that we can correct the problem.
