Follow the instructions below to change the access number in your system. If you need to look up an access number or to download a text file of local access numbers, go to the Access Numbers page.
Open the System Preferences from your Dock or by clicking the Apple icon at the upper left corner of the screen and selecting System Preferences.
Double-click the Network icon.
Click the PPP tab.
In Telephone Number, edit the local access number.
Click the Apply Now button when finished.
Entering Access Numbers: Enter the access number the same way you would enter it if you were dialing the number on a telephone. If you don't need to dial the area code, do not enter the area code. For more information, see Entering Access Numbers.
