Follow the instructions below to change the access number in your system. If you need to look up an access number or to download a text file of local access numbers, go to the Access Numbers page.
If you have a shortcut on your desktop, double-click the shortcut to open the connection.
If you do not have a shortcut on your desktop, do the following to open your connection.
Click the Start button in your system tray (lower left corner of your monitor).
Select Settings from the Menu and then select Dial-up Networking (if you don’t see the Dial-up Networking folder in the menu, open the Control Panel folder and look for Dial-up Networking there).
Double-click the Budget Dialup icon to open your connection.
The access number is displayed on the first page of the connection window. You can directly edit the access number in the Phone Number field. If you are unable to type directly into the number field, click the Properties button to edit.
Entering Access Numbers: Enter the access number the same way you would enter it if you were dialing the number on a telephone. If you don't need to dial the area code, do not enter the area code. For more information, see Entering Access Numbers.
