Follow the instructions below to change the access number in your system. If you need to look up an access number or to download a text file of local access numbers, go to the Access Numbers page.
If you have a shortcut on your desktop, double-click the shortcut to open the connection.
If you don't have a shortcut, do the following to open the connection.
Click the Start button in your system tray (lower left corner of your monitor).
From the menu, select Control Panels.
If you see a folder with a bunch of icons, double-click on the one called Network Connections. If you see a window with the title "Pick a Task ...," click on the link for Network Connections under the second title "Or pick a Control Panel icon."
You will see the Network Connections window.
Double-click the Budget Dialup icon to open the connection.
The access number is displayed on the first page of the connection window. You can directly edit the access number in the Phone Number field. If you are unable to type directly into the number field, click the Properties button to edit.
Entering Access Numbers: Enter the access number the same way you would enter it if you were dialing the number on a telephone. If you don't need to dial the area code, do not enter the area code. For more information, see Entering Access Numbers.
