If you can't send or receive email, check the following items:
Make sure you are connected to the Internet
When using an email application, such as Outlook Express, you can read and write messages even when you are not connected to the Internet; however, you must be connected to actually send messages that you've already written or to receive new email messages.
Check your account settings
When using an email application, such as Outlook Express, if your server information is not setup properly, you will receive this error when trying to send or receive email.
