Host Server Not Found

If you receive an error when you try to send or receive email that says the Host server could not be found, check the following items:

 

When using an email application, such as Outlook Express, you can read and write messages even when you are not connected to the Internet; however, you must be connected to actually send messages that you've already written or to receive new email messages.

 

When using an email application, such as Outlook Express, if your server information is not set up properly, you will receive this error when trying to send or receive email. Some email applications allow you to access several different email accounts at the same time. If your application is set up to send/receive email from an inactive email account, you will get this error. To correct the problem, delete this email account.
