If you use an email application such as Outlook or Outlook Express, you can access other email accounts, such as your corporate email. To access your other email accounts while connected with our service, you will need to change your outgoing mail server (also known as SMTP). This change will not be noticeable to anyone receiving your email.
Why do you have to change your outgoing mail server? Most companies do not allow you to use their outgoing mail server unless you are connected with their service at the time. This is standard practice as a protection against unauthorized use of the mail servers by spammers.
Note: if your other email account is accessible from a web site, such as Hotmail or Yahoo mail, you do not need to make any changes. Simply go to their web site as usual.
To access email from another provider while connected with our service, you will need to change the following information:
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.bdumail.com
Un-check the box that says "My server requires authentication" (if applicable)
For step-by-step instructions to change your outgoing mail server, click the link next to the email application you are using. If your application is not listed below, see the Help file in your application for assistance.
